No Dogs in Space is a music history podcast for true obsessives

Sadly, there hasn't been a new episode of No Dogs in Space since July of 2024. Part four of the podcast's series on Can wrapped up an abbreviated season 3, which focused on experimental rock. Don't get me wrong, I loved seasons 1 and 2, but the show seemed to be gearing up for a deep dive into Krautrock, and I was hype. Unfortunately, that episode ended with hosts Marcus Parks (Last Podcast on the Left) and Carolina Hidalgo declaring they were going to do another season on punk (the topic of sea

Will price hikes force Apple to stop dragging its feet on certain product upgrades?

Earlier this summer, Apple dramatically increased its prices as a result of the ongoing memory crisis around the globe. Things like iPad Air increased from $599 to $749, M5 MacBook Pro from $1699 to $1999, and Apple TV from $129 to $199. That’s just a few examples, but the point is, these price hikes are steep. Tom Stanton's supersonic trebuchet breaks sound barrier with gravity alone

Tom Stanton has spent years chasing a number that gravity itself seemed to forbid. On a quiet field somewhere in the UK, a 40-kilogram mass dropped a short distance, spun a carbon-fiber arm past 2,300 revolutions per minute, and sent a 4-gram projectile into the air at 776 miles per hour. That is nine miles per hour past the speed of sound. For the first time, a purely gravity-powered trebuchet crossed the barrier.
